This course is not about learning licks but rather a system and practice routine that will give you the ability to play these very usable sequences all over the fretboard in any key and massively improve your alternate picking technique.

Unless you're a complete beginner, you can benefit greatly from this approach. The tempos used in the practice routine are on the very low side and can, of course, be lowered even more if needed. Accuracy is the key here. There's also no string crossing to worry about since it's all single-string sequences.

Working on single-string picking is very overlooked, but unless you can play as fast as you want cleanly and accurately on a single string, you still have lots to gain in that area. I still practice single-string exercises for this reason since I've found that the stronger that is, the stronger my overall picking will be.
